Why Simple Games Can Be More Addictive Than Complex Games?

One of the biggest strengths of a simple snake game is the low barrier to entry. Players do not need to memorize abilities, study a large map, or understand several different systems before they can have fun.
Snake demonstrates this perfectly. The basic objective is immediately visible, and movement is straightforward. That makes it suitable for a quick game when you only have a few minutes.
The same principle works for many casual browser games. When the rules are clear, players can spend more time playing and less time figuring out what they are supposed to do.
